Minor change

[edit]

Hi, NorthernFalcon. I changed one link on your user page, just so that it would avoid a redirect and go straight to the page you meant. I hope you don't mind. If you do, go ahead and change it back and I'll leave it alone. Thanx! --Cromwellt|talk 18:03, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Creation Illustrated

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Creation Illustrated, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Rockiesfan19 (talk) 20:11, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Karl Haffner

[edit]

The article Karl Haffner has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable local pastor; no indication that he meets WP:AUTHOR

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. TJRC (talk) 21:43, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Ola Gjeilo

[edit]

Please include references to article Ola Gjeilo, since article is about a living person and all the articles dealing with a living person, but that have not references, are deleted. This is so since April 2010.--Isinbill (talk) 02:33, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I already removed the template from the fast deletion of Article. --Isinbill (talk) 16:27, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Reviewing

[edit]
Hello, NorthernFalcon.

I noticed you've done some constructive editing recently.
Would you please consider becoming a New Page Reviewer? Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; currently Wikipedia needs experienced users at this task. (After gaining the flag, patrolling is not mandatory. One can do it at their convenience). But kindly read the tutorial before making your decision. Thanks. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mamawi Atosketan Native School, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Cariboo Adventist Academy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Abbotsford (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

Notice

The article Tatu Hoffrén has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NFOOTBALL; the Ykkönen and Kakkonen are not professional. Lacks the coverage required to pass WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Notice

The article Conflict of the Ages has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

When I did a Google search the few third-party sources that I found were only trivial (selling); this proves to me that this article is not notable.

@Catfurball: I believe I addressed the problem with the sources by finding multiple third-party independent sources for the Conflict of the Ages series. (Spectrum Magazine is not owned or operated by the Seventh-day Adventist church, and neither is Adventist Today. Also, the authors of Light Bearers are not Seventh-day Adventists.) Please let me know what you think. NorthernFalcon (talk) 02:46, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@NorthernFalcon: You are wrong about Light Bearers Ministry, it is a Seventh-day Adventist ministry look at: David Asscherick. Catfurball (talk) 18:29, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Catfurball: The Light Bearers book has no association with David Asscherick's Light Bearers ministry. However, I am willing to consider it a non-independent source. But Spectrum and Adventist Today are both independent of the Seventh-day Adventist church, and should count as sources. That's two, that should meet significance requirements. NorthernFalcon (talk) 19:03, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@NorthernFalcon: Pacific Press Publishing Association is a Seventh-day Adventist Church owned company that only publishes works by Seventh-day Adventists. Catfurball (talk) 19:13, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Catfurball: Agreed, that was the reason I was willing to consider Light Bearers a non-independent source. But I still maintain that Spectrum and Adventist Today are sufficient to establish notability. NorthernFalcon (talk) 21:10, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Catfurball, there is no doubt in my mind that these books are notable (see https://www.jstor.org/stable/10.1525/nr.2006.9.4.005 , for instance). Obviously these articles need serious secondary sourcing. Drmies (talk) 02:53, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Drmies: All of the Ellen G. White book articles are terrible, since they use only Seventh-day Adventist references. They would look way better if they had references that were not Seventh-day Adventist. You have my permission to improve all of her book articles if possible, since I have no interest to work on them. Catfurball (talk) 18:38, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, and you have mine. Drmies (talk) 20:54, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
